Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make these yourself?

Yes! I design all the patterns myself, stitch each piece by hand, set them in the hoops, assemble the chains or earring hardware, and I also make all of the knitted pieces entirely by hand. Because I create each piece so thoroughly from start to finish, I can offer a lot of customization options. All you have to do is ask!

How long does it take you to make one piece?

It depends on the piece. Some simple designs can be made from start to finish in 45 minutes. Other more complex designs or ones with many color changes can take several hours or even multiple days just to stitch.

How much are custom orders?

I price everything based on how long it takes to make, so it really depends! As a general rule, earrings and wall art will always cost more than necklaces, and detailed designs with lots of different colors will be more than simple designs with only a few colors. I'm happy to quote you for a project before you place an order, please use the custom order form and mention that you'd like a quote!

How long will a custom order take?

I try to prioritize custom orders as much as I can, so depending on the size and complexity of the piece and my other obligations, it could be as soon as 3-5 days, or as long as 2-5 weeks. Current turnaround time is about 1 week for customs and 3 days for made to order, plus shipping time.

What are your return and custom order policies?

Both can be found here.

What does "imbued with magick" mean?

I use elements of knot magick, sigils, astrology, and crystals to add magickal oomph to my pieces. Sometimes it is as simple as charging the thread or the finished piece under moonlight or sunshine, or holding a piece and focusing my intention on what I want it to bring to the wearer- like joy, friendship, confidence, clarity, self-love, or good fortune.

I cleanse my stock with sage smoke or spray before and after each in-person event and as part of the packing process for online orders, to ensure that your piece carries only positive energy from me to you.

To maintain their effects, cleanse and charge your pieces regularly (under a full moon is an effective method), setting your own intentions as you do so.

What are your earrings hooks made of? Are they safe for sensitive ears?

My standard kidney wires are sterling silver plated stainless steel, or antique bronze plated brass. I have sensitive ears and wear both colors regularly, and haven't experienced any irritation. Stainless steel, sterling silver plated, and 14k gold plated fish hooks are also available for a small fee.

Where do you get your hoops?

The coffin hoops are from StitchCraftArt
